Preserving Barbering History.
Educating the Next Generation.
Built from a lifetime in the craft.
Founded by Charlie Lopez, the US Barber Academy & Museum is being created to preserve the tools, stories, chairs, techniques, and cultural legacy of barbering while opening new paths for education, mentorship, and community impact.
A living archive of the craft
Every chair holds a story. This is where craft, discipline, and legacy meet.
A cultural initiative rooted in craft, history, and preservation.
The US Barber Academy & Museum is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to preserving the heritage of barbering through education, restoration, storytelling, and public engagement. This is not a trend-driven concept. It is a long-term commitment to protecting the standards, objects, and culture that shaped the profession.
Built from a lifetime in the craft.
Charlie Lopez has spent decades in barbering — from sweeping hair as a kid, to mastering the craft, to building multiple barbershops, collecting antique barber chairs, restoring heritage pieces, and helping shape modern barber culture. The academy and museum is the next chapter: preserving the craft and passing it forward.

Real objects. Real history. Real craftsmanship.
